All plans include: unlimited pageviews, all flow types (tours, tooltips, hotspots, checklists, modals, banners), targeting rules, Chrome extension, and the Zenstep snippet.
Active flows
An active flow is any flow with status Published. Drafts and paused flows do not count toward your limit.
If you hit your active flow limit, you'll need to either unpublish an existing flow or upgrade your plan before publishing a new one.
Upgrading your plan
Go to Settings → Billing and click Upgrade. Select Grow or Scale. You'll be taken to Stripe's checkout — pay by card. Upgrading takes effect immediately.
When upgrading mid-billing cycle, you're charged the prorated difference for the remaining days.
Downgrading
Go to Settings → Billing → Manage subscription to downgrade. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
If you have more active flows than your new plan allows, you'll need to unpublish the excess flows before the downgrade takes effect (or Zenstep will automatically pause them to comply with the new limit).
Cancelling
Cancel from Settings → Billing → Manage subscription → Cancel subscription. Your plan continues until the end of the current billing period, then downgrades to Free.
On Free, flows above the 3-flow limit are paused. Reactivate by upgrading or unpublishing excess flows.
Invoices
All invoices are emailed to the billing contact automatically. You can download past invoices from Settings → Billing → Invoice history.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, Zenstep retries 3 times over 5 days. If all retries fail, your plan downgrades to Free. You'll receive email notifications before and after each failed attempt.
To update your payment method before a retry: go to Settings → Billing → Update payment method.
AI generation
In V1, AI generation is BYOK-only. Connect your own Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google AI key in AI settings. Zenstep does not provide bundled AI credits or quota in V1.
